The Role

Benri Health’s mission is to make access to health care convenient and easy.  We believe that removing obstacles to care – particularly in communities that have traditionally been underserved – is the key to improving population health and health equity.  Working collaboratively with pharmacies, physicians, payers and consumers, we streamline every aspect of care from appointment to payment.  We want every customer to be a Benri Health zealot.  This role is critical to achieving that goal. 

As Benri Health’s product leader, you will have primary responsibility for setting and managing the Product and Solution Roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

  • Specify, execute and oversee the research needed to determine the needs and desires of customers
  • Collaborate with on-shore and off-shore developers to scope and execute projects, and assign priorities
  • Lead the evaluation of make / buy / partner decisions and recommend go-forward paths
  • Define requirements (Epics, Stories) and effectively communicate with Software Engineering team using tools like Jira and/or the Microsoft development suite
  • Oversee 3rd party quality assurance
  • Collaborate with Marketing to ensure communications efforts are aligned with roadmap and strategy
  • Gather competitive intelligence and regularly assess SWOT
  • Evaluate key architectural decisions and drive leadership alignment on tech strategy

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or computer science or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management in a B2B SaaS environment, preferably in health care
  • Professional experience in software engineering or development
  • 2+ years of experience in leadership / people management
  • Experience working in an on-shore / off-shore agile development environment
  • Experience with development and product management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Pragmatic)
  • Desired: Consulting firm experience

  • Ability to develop quantitative and qualitative analyses to prioritize competing initiatives
  • Ability to maintain a keen attention to detail, multitask and work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of software implementation, system workflows and industry best practices
  • Desired: Experience in health care and health insurance business processes and with electronic health records or practice management software
  • Desired: Understanding of retail or community pharmacy business processes and workflows
